Gracie’s
About This Spot
Stepping into Gracie’s feels like slipping into a well-loved corner of Broughty Ferry where the rhythm is unhurried and inviting. Tucked just a street back from the estuary, the café balances the gentle buzz of a neighborhood spot with a warm, lived-in comfort that welcomes both familiar faces and new visitors alike. Whether you arrive with a dog in tow, a pram in hand, or simply seeking a quiet moment, the atmosphere here is calm yet alive with the quiet hum of friendly conversation and the soft clinking of cups.
The pace at Gracie’s aligns perfectly with its surroundings; a place to slow down and linger over thoughtfully crafted coffee and breakfast plates that feel both comforting and thoughtfully adventurous. The aroma of fresh brews drifts alongside the tempting scent of homemade cakes, inviting casual sharing or a solo pause with a book. It's the kind of spot where the little touches — a perfectly pulled cappuccino, a slice of moist carrot cake, or an array of colourful brunch bowls — create a feeling of ‘just right’ rather than rushed or formulaic.
Beyond the menu, it’s the attentive ease of the service and the genuine warmth of the team that shape the experience. Gracie’s accommodates with quiet kindness, whether helping families navigate their choices or welcoming four-legged friends with a water bowl by the door. This openness gently weaves the café into the fabric of the community, making it a natural stop for a weekend stroll or an easy weekday treat. Here, moments are savoured — from the first sip of a rich latte to the last crumb of a red velvet slice — crafting simple, honest pleasures in a setting that feels quietly special.

Nice little find. Heard lots of good things about this place and it didn't disappoint. We had breakfast. Staff are really friendly and accommodating for when we had a pram. Food is amazing.

Great cafe which is very dog friendly. Coffee is excellent, food was wonderful and service great - we’ll definitely return! … great walks along the seafront/estuary, Gracie’s cafe is only a street back, so a fabulous spot for brunch/lunch and a water bowl for the dog. Spot on!

Great Cafe - The cakes were delicious. We had 4 drinks and 4 cakes which was reasonably priced. The service was quick and very polite. The table and crockery were exceptionally clean. I should have asked what brand of tea was used, as it was really nice. Thumbs up.

Yummy food. Dog friendly. Delicious range of cakes. We had the carrot and coriander soup followed by a biscoff millionaires shortbread and a Berry crumble bake. Definitely worth going to.

When we entered we were instantly told that it's cash only, which is a big annoyance at the end of 2025. I'm not a dog owner myself but I like that this place is dog friendly and I can overlook some of the banged up furniture and paint given that they could have caused this. We arrived for breakfast around 9 and were able to pick our seats, but it did get busy within 30 minutes. Service was good and the wait time was as expected. There is no WiFi here so I'd expect the turnaround to be quick. I had the veggie breakfast (with no tomato, extra egg) and biscoff hot chocolate. The veggie breakfast was good and priced accordingly for the portion size. The hot chocolate didn't seem to be mixed well, or it was just weak, so that was just alright but overpriced. Not bad for a quick breakfast as long as you've got cash on you. I'll have to come and try the lunch menu.
